"Trees of life" was the third part of the trio accommodation on nature, culture and art. The opening exhibition "Fuglefri" in 1998 was followed by "Vandskel" in 2002. The thematic exhibition "Trees of life" was about wood material seen from several different angles.

Exhibitors from widely different fields, cultural, design, architectural and artistic, contributed to an interesting and eye-opening exhibition of the material timber.

schmidt hammer lassen architects and the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma represented the architecture part. schmidt hammer lassen architects developed a unique exhibition concept adapted to the exhibition theme and the exhibition space; “Transformation by...” was an architectural space installation which invited the visitor to help give the space a particular character; to transform it.
